# Gunfire reported at Phoenix ICE facility as FBI launches investigation

The FBI is investigating after shots were fired at an ICE facility in Phoenix on July 14, prompting an immediate response from law enforcement.

In a statement, the FBI said "one or more unidentified people discharged several rounds that struck the exterior on various parts of the structure".

Multiple witnesses described hearing gunfire near the building. The facility was temporarily locked down as a precaution.
