Teen found fatally shot at Rep Pressley’s husband’s home

U.S. News By Max Hadley July 21, 2026 · 00:29 UTCUpdated 12 days ago ← Back to Home

An 18-year-old has been named by relatives as the person found shot to death over the weekend at a rental home in Boston’s Mattapan neighborhood owned by Conan Harris, husband of US Rep. Ayanna Pressley. Her mother started a fundraiser identifying her as Yoseliani Marte and describing the death as domestic violence-related. Police have not confirmed that characterization or released an official identification.

Officers were called to the Malta Street address Saturday afternoon and found the victim with a gunshot wound. The home, listed for sale near $1.15 million, has at times been used as a business address for Harris. Neither he nor Pressley lives there.

Harris told followers on Facebook his family was unharmed. A Pressley spokesperson said the congresswoman had no connection to what happened and offered condolences to Marte’s relatives. No arrest has been announced.
