Protester sets himself on fire outside UN headquarters in New York

A man identified as Tibetan activist Lobga Rangzen set himself on fire outside the United Nations headquarters in New York on Thursday evening.

Video shows the protester engulfed in flames on the sidewalk near the UN complex. A Tibetan flag and papers reading “China Out of Tibet” were seen near the scene.

The NYPD responded to the incident.
