Gonzales was killed in action Friday and Feehan the following day, during Iran’s ballistic missile and drone attack on the base.
The US launched retaliatory airstrikes against Iran within hours, with CENTCOM saying it struck Iranian coastal surveillance, air defense, maritime and missile storage sites, along with IRGC forces linked to the attack.
The deaths bring the total number of American combat deaths since the war began on February 28 to at least 17, with more than 400 wounded.
