Perez Hilton livestreams apparent self-harm on TikTok

Perez Hilton, the celebrity blogger whose real name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., is the subject of serious concern after a distressing livestream on TikTok on Tuesday in which he harmed himself and made statements about wanting to die.

TikTok removed the broadcast. Hilton, 47, made comments during the stream indicating he was in acute crisis.

The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said it received multiple calls about someone live-streaming self-harm on social media. Deputies located the home, spoke with family members outside and confirmed the individual was alone inside, the office said in a statement to The Sun. Hilton’s condition was not disclosed in the statement.

Hilton rose to prominence in the mid-2000s with his celebrity gossip site PerezHilton.com and has since built a large social-media following. He is a father of three.
